suckerPUNCH: Describe your project.
Ryan FARNAM: The thesis reevaluates the museum as an experiential environment that generates visual effects rather than merely a place to exhibit artifacts. It argues that museum designs are just as important as the contents within, asserting the importance of architecture and its connection to the urban experience.

sP: What or who influenced this project?
RF: My influences were derived from Chinese roofs and sculpture. With its curvilinear nature and underbelly of arrayed ornament, the Chinese roof achieves an elegant form with a high degree of depth and detail. Tied with my interest in sculptures and desire to create a procedural method to making sculpture into architecture, I merged the two worlds to create a new formal discovery.

Keaton Henson - Romantic Works Album
