Luis GARCIA: Plans, Profiles, and Faces explore the potential that the face filter from Snap Chat and Instagram can bring to the design of the building facade.

Plans and profiles are used as the starting point to find a common ground in the development of volume and space.
Looking at the profiles, the elevation becomes the instrument of representation to apply the face filter. Doing so, the face filter raises a question on representation. Since it only exists in the flat screen or on a sheet of paper, how can it coexist in the 3D space? How can the face filter influence and play in the representation of the drawing, rendering, and model? The solution is to describe behaviors to the face filter. To punch, to suck, to hug, and to pet are some of the behaviors that the face filter can have as well as the specific tools that are being used to help design and transform the project.
