suckerPUNCH: describe your project.

FutureDeluxe: We were approached by global media and technology company Black Ocean to create a branding identity and a series of animations which represented the digital aspects of their ever changing platform. We set about creating a set of contemporary liquid based dynamic forms which could transform into any number of combinations and compositions.

sP: what or who influenced this project?

FD: The work of too many digital artists to list!

sP: what were you reading/listening to/watching while developing this project?

FD: Like any creative studio, music is a big part of us. Darkstar, Jamie XX, Gill Scott Heron, Gold Panda, Tennis plus many more were all on regular rotation.

sP: whose work is currently on your radar?

FD: Based on the way we all consume so much these days, too many people to mention. However I’m a huge fan of designer/illustrator Kim Dulaney.
