Beginning at 1pm, Saturday 03/02, in the Ace Hotel lobby, you may peruse the Bespoke Jewelry Bazaar featuring collaborative works between select pairs of designers. thefuturefuture have teamed with jewelry designer Chris Habana to produce a set of pieces developed especially for the event. This will be the first preview of these items and all items will be available for purchase. Makerbot will be on hand live printing custom variations.

At 2pm, there will be a symposium on 3-D printing, The Metaphor of Making and Fashion’s Future from four important points of view. Fashion designer Michael Schmidt has created wardrobes for luminaries such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Deborah Harry and Madonna. He is joined by Brooks Hagan, textile artist and Acting Head of the Textile Department at RISD, and 3-D design evangelists Michael Curry and Duann Scott of MakerBot and Shapeways, respectively.
