Maximiliano is an Italian restaurant and pizzeria for chef Andre Guerrero that opened in October 2011 in Los Angeles. The 2,200 sf tenant improvement is atmospherically distinct; a unique triangular dining area infused with color and evocative of the rich and refined menu.

brennan BUCK + david FREELANDThe house is sited in the woods in Maine, and we were interested in the dense spatial condition of the forest. The house is designed to strike a precise balance between solid and void. As a result, the footprint is integrated with its site through porosity rather than topological continuity. The weave of exterior and interior space infuses the periodically occupied house with color and light that change hue and intensity with the seasons.
