XEFIROTARCH : the logic of the project is not working on the idea of building types, but developing a concept of “species”. create a new dynamic logic that allows the project and the city develop a relationship over the game and joy. the project is not based on an organization of functions but in the generation of sensations through cells that are multiplying producer for the building. the addition also operates as a prosthesis, adding, transforming but not completely replacing, producing a dialogue between history and the past. museums, has been said, are the cathedrals of today, this is a concept that has concerned us since we are convinced that the project is a new icon for the city but also a place where the interior creates an atmosphere that involves the visitor.

huazhong university of science and technology press: creating projects that look a whole lot less like conventional architecture than something out of the ridley scott’s film alien’ or the creative output of h.r.giger, hda’s architecture has stolen the imagination of a younger generation of architects around the world. twenty two mostly unrealised works often in the form of competition entries or research projects are examined here, including; maison seroussi, paris; art hotel, playa grande; u2 tower, dublin, and ps1 moma. all are extensively documented with full-colour computer models, sections and details, and accompanied by several exploratory essays.

the dazzling reflections and refractions off the chrome bodies of xefirotarch’s spiders creeps out through the dark gallery at the mak center. hernan diaz alonso’s work has finally found suitable context in the black abyss of the black gallery space. the darkness renders the cast chrome forms’ figuration clearly. done in collaboration with the uk center for manufacturing, the fabrication translates every oozing detail of hernan’s design exquisitely into the finished chrome pieces.
