suckerPUNCH: Describe your project.
lucky MCMAHON : This project is a self perpetuating system of voluptuous ornamental aggregation at all scalar levels, which creates a new species of spatial organization and a new genus of aesthetics. This system generates primitive cells that are multiplying producers and act as a mechanism to develop formal and aesthetic logic.

Primitive/species/type:The individual primitive is formed from the mausoleum typology but through generic operations of replication becomes a new species which responds to spatial and programmatic parameters. The genetic qualities extracted from the mausoleum type are the centralized plan, poche to accommodated loculi and niches, intimate scale, and ornamentation.
System/genus/form:The overall system meets the ground with horizontal forms, whose structure attaches to the site and adjoining buildings and then gradually pinnacles vertically. There is a singular core from which the primary structure climbs, with the primitives’ individual exoskeleton branching from the larger superstructure. The section is organized around three voids which anchor the form as it becomes more differentiated. In plan, the aggregate of primitives conglomerates around open voids.
“Monstrosity, the recombinant offspring of the beautiful and the ugly, is a moment of exquisite expertise, a beautiful meme twisted into an entire new genus of aesthetic speculation.” - Mark Gage

its made of cheese. powerful graphics, redundant and unusuable spaces. this student should make it in gems and sell it at a jewelry store!
i don’t get these drawing sets that are so rampant with sci arc etc.. what does an MRI of a formal module ACTUALLY do besides create eye-candy…. these data overload montages are for oo’s and aah’s , not for conveying an idea. what does this all mean?
where is the space?

someone with a true architectural eye can clearly see, the thinking process, which was clearly explained. this model can easily be examined and intelligently critiqued. A work which no one has questions about is one that has a great lack of quality. In fact, the comment “unusable space,” is very unproductive, and in all honestly completely inaccurate. Because one cannot understand a work, they cannot simply say it is bad. Not to mention, there is a simple beauty in repetition.
