nora GRAW: conventional films are restricted in physical conditions of the film set or collage an artificial surrounding to suggest the wanted atmosphere and aesthetic. animated films create an abstract world that mimics qualities of the physical that are extracted and exaggerated in animated films where characteristics are adopted to create an environment that through its aesthetic creates an all-around coulisse. the goal is to create an environment for this profession with characteristics of that coulisse layering of scenes and interconnect various stage settings to take part in the “real world”.

noraGRAW: meet the topic of mutation which architecturally fuses cartesian systems with organically evolved geometries. the states of evolution express continuity within the new body and are repeated in scale, variation of parts and surface articulation to create unique spatial conditions.

julia KOERNER + nora GRAW: designed from the inside of an intricate large single surface space, organized through a strategy of nesting and poché, to a three dimensional structural volume, which creates blurred depth through a gradient from relief to structure, dependent on the distance of the inner volume to the outer skin, which let the focus on the volumes or parts of it fall off gradually until they disappear in depth.
