suckerPUNCH: Describe your project.

Joanna PAWLAS: Audiocrete is a peronal amplifying surface tailored to specific frequencies. Audiocrete was generated by parameters directly corresponding to the range of wavelengths of frequencies identified in the recordings of my own voice. The generated space constrains create constructive interference and amplify sound of my frequency spectrum. Audiocrete creates both spatial and acoustic experience, by framing a particular soundscape in both physical and aural way.

Sonos has collaborated with New York design studio SOFTlab to bring their Light House installation to the Sonos Studio Los Angeles. Powered by SONOS PLAY:3, PLAY:5 and SUB, Light House sits in the middle of the Sonos Studio, and is comprised of four rooms. Each room is filled with not only Sonos speakers, but fluorescent light tubes that react to music and its different frequencies, from the SUB to the PLAY:3 tweeters . In other words, the installation literally shows how Sonos fills your home with music.

filipa VALENTE: Liminoid Bloom*s is an artificial interactive ecology that mediates the space between the gallery/exhibition and the environment of the city of Albuquerque. A responsive and performative ecology that alters the face of the gallery space and the way we interact and play with it.

A sensor located at the street facade of the gallery collects environmental data from the urban scape (sound, light variations, CO2 concentration). The environment sensor sends this information to the bloom*s located inside the gallery thus activating their breathing and movement behaviors.

suckerPUNCH: Describe your project.

SIFT / adam FURE: Veer is a multimedia installation that transforms space, sound, and light into variable dimensions of an experiential field. A base of polyester batting wraps a branching steel structure creating a soft, interior sleeve comprised of tunnel-like folds. Participants bend and push through saturated matter, pulling sound and light from sensors embedded in the material walls. In Veer, space provokes movement, movement provokes sound, and engaged participants instigate an emergent perceptual form.
