Toer (Wouter WIDDERSHOVEN & Castor BOURS): Fiet is an interactive light object that visualizes the emotional impact of movement. The object is built out of hundreds of cones which emphasize the motion of the surface. The points of the cones move closer to each other or expand when the skin moves. All this happens through the influence of sounds surrounding the object. You will see the sculpture become stressed when there is a sudden noise, but when it’s quiet and peaceful it will move in a comfortable manner—it’s like a living organism that interacts with its environment.

Kathy VELIKOV & Geoffrey THÜN (RVTR): Nervous Ether is a full-scale responsive physical environment consisting of a cellular pneumatic skin, operating as an instrument to register and communicate remote environmental information while also generating specific sensations and effects within the immediate (inhabitable) environment. It aims to lever the agency of air and information to spatially and physically materialize the immaterial into a palpable and sensate environment. The installation was undertaken through the 333 Summer Studio at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, August 2013.

Sonos has collaborated with New York design studio SOFTlab to bring their Light House installation to the Sonos Studio Los Angeles. Powered by SONOS PLAY:3, PLAY:5 and SUB, Light House sits in the middle of the Sonos Studio, and is comprised of four rooms. Each room is filled with not only Sonos speakers, but fluorescent light tubes that react to music and its different frequencies, from the SUB to the PLAY:3 tweeters . In other words, the installation literally shows how Sonos fills your home with music.

Designed and built by University of St. Joseph (Macau) third- and fourth-year undergraduate architecture students, led by guest professors Kristof Crolla and Dannes Kok, the Pulse Pavilion is a temporary structure that stands at Plaza Sai Van, adjacent to Macau Tower, from 1–10 June 2013. It is an inhabitable sculpture, a parametrically generated organic lattice structure created from split bamboo rods, interwoven with fabric panels, and featuring an interactive LED lighting system.

Bridge and Platige Image created a physical space manifesto for new offices of Platige Image. Platige Image’s work in animation and post-production blurs boundaries between creativity and technology. The installation is a spatial canvas ready to display creative content from artists working at Platige and to engage visitors too. It was designed to be a living organism in the lobby space and take an active part in company’s everyday life.
