Hannah PAVLOVICH: The title of my thesis is “Puzzling.” Puzzling as in making a puzzle, puzzling as in solving a puzzle, puzzling as in the act of thinking, and puzzling as in enigmatic. Through a process of obfuscation, I have created an organizational mechanism that organizes space unpredictably but not illegibly.

Iris van HERPEN, Niccolo CASAS, & 3D Systems: Iris van Herpen, Niccolo Casas and 3D Systems collaborated for van Herpen’s S/S 2015 ready-to-wear collection, “Magnetic Motion,” introducing a stunning transparent dress covered in crystalline formations (Look 31) that have since been compared to ice sculptures.
Francis Bitonti Studio’s New Skins Workshop Series, led by Francis Bitonti, launched Summer 2013 in Brooklyn, New York. Exploring new computational design methods and techniques, New Skins Workshop continuously focuses on immersing students with the tools and software needed to design and fabricate complex geometry in computational fashion design.

Daniel CAVEN: 7004 House, designed by Daniel Caven, is based on using natural materials as structural components—the 7004 House is an open air wine house (3 seasons pavilion). Literally taking root, the site is located in the Midwest, overlooking a private client’s vineyard.

Daiki TSUTSUMI: Semordnilap proposes the potentiality of delaying the common perception of symmetry, and it recaptures the understanding of one of the oldest tools in architectural history. . . .
The Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) is now accepting applications for the 2015-16 Design of Theory Fellowship program. Long established as an institution dedicated to the innovative and original exploration of Architecture, SCI-Arc created its Design of Theory program to advance and advocate the necessity for theory and discourse within the contemporary architectural design spectrum. . . .
PROCESS explores the evolving nature of the contemporary design methodologies and their various conceptual and material connotations. The exhibition brings together for the first time a range of architects and designers pushing the boundaries of their fields using the revolutionary possibilities offered by creative coding, digital simulations of natural phenomena or various other iterative techniques.

Genetic Design (Morten BÜLOW): Fabhouse is a digitally designed and fabricated house almost fully produced and assembled on site. Except for a few elements, everything is produced on a CNC router, including tables, sinks and molds for the concrete ramp. . . .
