Comments Off on ExosuitsA collection of full-scale interactive design objects from the lab speculating on our future domestic relationships with synthetic biology, external memory prosthesis, interactive sleep terrains and multi-sensory emotive environments. Projects 12/13 presents the work of 6 Master’s Interior Architecture + Design students pursuing a full year residency in the lab. The Design Futures Lab is a trans-disciplinary design research group led by Assistant Professor Nicole Koltick (Department of Architecture + Interiors, Westphal College of Media Arts & Design).

Jonas BRAOUDÉ: Today most of us are aware of human impacts on our planet. Despite the efforts of environmentalists one question still remains: Are we the last witnesses of the last wilderness?
The project takes place in a global deforestation issues. It focused on the emergence of a significant threat to the mangrove coastal forests in Madagascar: the shrimp farming industry.
